Legal
Terms
The terms work is sold under. They are short on purpose, and nothing in them takes away a right you have by law.
What you are buying
An original is a unique work; there is no second one and no edition of it. A print is a signed, numbered edition, stated on the listing and on the reverse of the sheet, and the edition is never extended once it is declared. Objects are made in small batches and vary slightly from one to the next — that variation is the point, not a fault.
Screens differ. Colour on your monitor will not match the piece exactly; ask for photographs in daylight if the precise tone matters to you.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in USD and include the studio's handling, but not shipping or any import duty. Payment is taken at checkout, except for commissions and made-to-order work, where the studio confirms the piece and the timing with you before charging.
A piece is not reserved until it is paid for. Availability shown on the site is updated as work sells.
Copyright
Buying a piece transfers the object, not the copyright. Reem retains copyright and the right to reproduce the image — in a catalogue, a portfolio or a later edition of prints — unless you have a written agreement that says otherwise.
You are welcome to photograph work you own and share it. A credit is appreciated, never required.
Commissions
Commissions start with a conversation about the room, the light and the size, and are confirmed in writing with a price and a window. Half is paid to begin, the balance before it ships.
The studio works in one pass, so a commission cannot be revised stroke by stroke. If the finished piece is not right, it is not sent and the deposit is returned — that is the trade you make for work made this way.
