Orders
Shipping & returns
Everything leaves the studio packed by hand. Here is exactly what that means, what it costs, and what to do if something goes wrong.
When it ships
Available work leaves the studio within five working days. Made-to-order pieces and commissions are confirmed with you before anything is charged, and the timing is agreed in writing — usually four to eight weeks depending on size and drying.
You get a tracking number by email the day it goes out.
How it is packed
Works on paper ship flat between archival board in a rigid mailer, interleaved with glassine so nothing touches the surface. Larger pieces ship rolled in a 100mm tube, never folded.
Ceramics and objects are double-boxed with a floating inner carton. Nothing is packed in a way that needs a knife to open near the work.
What it costs
Shipping and any duties are calculated at checkout, before you pay. Within Egypt, delivery is flat-rate and usually next-day. Internationally, the studio ships tracked and insured for the full sale value.
Import duties and taxes are set by your own country and are not included in the price — they are collected by the carrier on delivery.
If it arrives damaged
Photograph the box before you open it fully, then the piece, and email both to the studio within 48 hours. Every shipment is insured for its full value, and a damaged piece is replaced where a replacement exists or refunded in full where it does not.
Returns
Prints and objects can be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused and in the original packing, for a full refund of the piece. Return postage is yours unless the work arrived damaged or was not what was described.
Original paintings and commissions are one-of-one and are not returnable — which is why the studio would rather send you more photographs, or a video in the light of the room, before you buy. Ask.
